What Happens When You Turn A Rug Upside Down?

My family has a dog who sheds quite a bit, so I vacuum our floors (including all rugs) almost daily. And although I see the pet hair and other debris get sucked into the vacuum, keeping the rug in its proper place won’t actually clean it all that well. In order to get everything out of the rugs in your home, you should actually be flipping them upside down.

Holly Vogler shared a Facebook post describing what happened when she flipped the rug in her living room upside down. After running a vacuum over the other side, a ton of dirt, dust, and who knows what else fell out onto the floor. The above picture shows the amount of dirt that had fallen from the rug after the third time of doing this!
